I’m a bit late with this post because it’s already the 5th of January and Veganuary is upon us! If you’re looking for a New Year’s resolution then try going vegan for one month. It doesn’t have to start on the 1st of January. You can start at any time. When you sign up on the Veganuary site you can choose your start date. You’ll even get a free celebrity vegan cookbook to download and who doesn’t want Joanna Lumley’s random green soup recipe or Beyoncé’s guacamole? Several restaurants are even offering 2 for 1 vegan meals this month.
The Veganuary site has Dr Greger’s Daily Dozen checklist in an easily printable pdf for your fridge. I’ve been planning to print one of these for ages. My kids are always complaining about eating vegetables and lamenting that healthy foods don’t taste as good as unhealthy ones. However they took one look at the list and suddenly wanted to tick off as much of it as possible. Never underestimate the power of a checklist.
There are so many good reasons to follow a plant-based diet: it’s better for the environment, it’s better for your health, it’s better for your wallet (cheaper), and it’s better for the animals.
Happy veganuary! X
Thank you! Same to you.
Socksuary was very short this year. Must be on a lunar calendar.
The socksual cycle is very short.
Sharing this with my other half – who has just started blogging again 🙂
Good luck with that!! We like our meats and now that poultry is free on WW, its not that bad for our weight loss program either.
Thank you! Good luck with WW.
