Food technology company Memphis Meats has produced a meat ball with lab-grown meat rather than farm-raised animals. I don’t eat meat but I am cautiously optimistic of this development because there are so many negatives associated with raising animals for slaughter for human consumption – climate change, health, and ethics. Two of these problems can potentially be addressed through lab-grown meat.

Hope it succeeds. Sorry if I’m dense but which two of the thee items listed would be covered off by this? Or rather which one isn’t? Health?

Yup! Maybe they’ll be able to remove the carcinogens in red meat though so who know.

I’d rather eat veggies than lab-grown meat.

Mmm. I’d be curious to know what this tastes like in comparison with conventional meat.
