The Elizabeth Duthie statue in snow

A snowy Duthie Park and more sledging

There is a lot of snow here and it’s still coming with more expected tomorrow and the day after. I’m glad we don’t have to go anywhere. Duthie Park looks stunning. This is the Elizabeth Duthie statue standing proudly dressed in snow.

Elizabeth Duthie gifted the land that became Duthie Park to Aberdeen City Council in 1870.

We have a fantastic slope for sledging at the far end near the train line. There was even someone on a snowboard today.

Elizabeth covered in snow and it's falling down
Daniel sliding down on his stomach
Looking up the slope from the bottom at the kids with their sledges
Play equipment covered in snow
Ben sliding down in the a blizzars

As you can see it’s a mix of sunny and blizzard! The whole day alternated between the two.

I recorded a video as I was sliding down.

And here’s the snowboarder.

That looks particularly brave from the point of view of a sledger.

Great to live in a place where you can snowboard, I didn’t realise you could in the UK, but good that they realised it.
