Devil's punchbowl at Linn of Quoich.

Ballater, Braemar, Linn of Quoich

We’ve had a lovely few days in Royal Deeside. Here are some photos from Ballater.

We went to the Junior Highland Games in Braemar today and Daniel helped out for a bit taking children for train rides. Here he is driving the train.

Dad gave caber tossing a try.

Then we had a late picnic lunch at the Linn of Quoich.

Queen Victoria had a picnic lodge at the Linn of Quoich which has fallen into disrepair. Fortunately works have begun to revive the structure and I believe it will be used once more as a picnic lodge but for day trippers rather than royalty.

And I think our Victoria has had a nice holiday too.

That’s a nice picture of Daniel and your dad. They have similar expressions on right at that moment.
Your pictures are so refreshingly beautiful when you live in the South.

Thanks, Denise. There’s so much nice scenery to photograph in Scotland this spot is particularly nice. The photos don’t do it justice either. It’s much nicer in real life.
