The Green Loch

The Green Loch in snow

We’re in Aviemore and we awoke to a winter wonderland this morning so what better thing to do than a walk to The Green Loch. I’ve not seen it in the snow before and this is one of our favourite lochs as it’s a pretty green lake surrounded by hills and forest. I’ve got photos of it from September 2020 when we visited and swam in it.

We didn’t swim today but another family did. It was not looking as green as our visit at the end of summer in 2020 but it was still beautiful. Here are some photos of the walk there and the loch itself.

The forest on the way to the loch with lost of young saplings and snow on the ground. It's misty and white.

Happy Christmas to you and your wonderful family. We will be with family in the Lake District for the New Year, one of them does lake swimming. I wonder if she will be going in while we are there?

Thanks, Denise. Merry Christmas to you and your family too. The Lake District sounds lovely! I hope you get to do some swimming.
