I’ve been working on this doll for Elizabeth for a very long time now and finally finished it … almost. I just need to make something for Merida to put her arrows (toothpicks) in.
I didn’t use a pattern. I just made it up and used yarn that I already had in my stash. Why I had that orange stuff which turned out to be perfect for her hair I do not know. It has been in my stash for years now and finally got put to good use. The doll is a bit amateurish but has that home-made look about it and that’s a good thing.
It’s perfect. I love the hair 🙂
Thanks! It was fun doing the hair 🙂
I’ll bet.
I love it!
Thanks!
Suits the Brave theme! (The film is on the tele over the festivities- hurrah)
Yes, Elizabeth is a fan of Brave.
You are so talented, Rachel. That’s a lovely doll. Elizabeth seems to like it. That’s such a nice photo of her too.
I was thinking that Merida looks a bit like Rebekah Brookes! 🙂 It must be the hair.
Thanks so much! But poor Merida to look similar to Rebekah Brookes. That’s insulting 😉
This is a very good Merida. I like Elizabeth’s kilt too, very good for Aberdeen.
Thanks! I love tartan and I don’t think you can ever have too many tartan skirts 🙂
is it Raw Cotton?
Yes, the doll itself is made with 100% cotton. But her hair is acrylic.
