It is very quiet in the house again now as Granddad left last week and Daniel went back to university last weekend. It’s Daniel’s birthday today and he won’t be at home which is the first time we’ve never celebrated his birthday with him on the day. We did have a little family celebration last weekend before he left to mark the occasion.
Daniel seemed happy to be starting his studies again after a nice break. He took his suit back with him for a Burns Supper last week. Unfortunately he never sends any photos so I have none to share but he says it was good.
Meanwhile Elizabeth had the great honour of dancing with some of her classmates at a Chinese New Year event at Aberdeen’s Town House last Tuesday evening. The Chinese Consul General from Edinburgh, Mr Zhang Biao, was there along with Aberdeen’s Lord Provost. This is the Lord Provost, Dr David Cameron, in this next photo.

We weren’t allowed to watch as it was a private event and not for us plebs so I don’t have a recording.

They were compensated with cupcakes and someone was very happy about that as you can see.
