Aberdeen in snow

Beautiful silvery white Aberdeen

We thought the snow was on its way out yesterday as we’d had rain and it was melting at a great pace but then this morning we awoke to a fresh dumping of it. Today has been stunning with the landscape covered in a sparkly white coating beneath a clear blue sky. Here are some photos from my lunch time run.

A tree covered in snow with the sun shining low in the sky from the right.
A path to a bridge with trees on either side. Everything is white from snow.
A fork in the path with a little hut on one side and someone walking.
The open field with snowmen and the pavilion.
A playground in the snow surrounded by white trees.
A similar photo to the earlier bridge but a wide angle shot.
The duck pond frozen over with some gulls walking on the surface

I’ve never seen it cling to the washing line like this before.

The washing line and pegs covered in ice.

The forecast says rain for the next three days and then much higher temperatures next week so I suspect it will all be gone in less than a week.
