Elizabeth's bedroom

Design mastering Elizabeth’s room

I finished decorating Elizabeth’s bedroom today. She has been wanting me to “Design Master” her room for a little while and wanted an insect theme. I did the wallpaper a couple of weeks ago and we were both very happy with the result but I wasn’t quite finished. I still had some painting to do and also a crochet butterfly to create. Now it is all done and the result is lovely! But first, here’s a before photo.

And here’s how it looks now.

Chest of drawers with highland dance art.

We also went out litter picking with volunteers from Aberdeen Cycle Forum.

Lots of bags of rubbish and volunteers smiling behind.

Finished litter picking and heading home.

The room looks so cosy. Also having the two different styles of room shows how versatile classic furniture is. The chest and desk are lovely.

Thank you! I love antique furniture the best but sometimes modern is more practical like her bed which has built-in storage.

Elizabeth’s bedroom looks great! Can she sit up in bed with that sloping ceiling?
