It’s not often we get to see snow and autumn colours simultaneously but that’s exactly what we got today.
We drove past this next distillery on our way to Grantown on Spey and the building looked particularly striking in the snow. It was one of those, “Wow, look at that!” moments in the car. I had never heard of Tormore before so I looked it up and it’s a comparatively modern distillery having been built in 1958 but is a listed building nonetheless. It was designed by Sir Albert Richardson.
This region is truly malt whisky country with distilleries, very good distilleries, on practically every corner. I find myself developing a palette for the stuff.
