I’ve got Busby back!!

Busby finally arrived today. He’s been at the hospital (= bike shop) in York having some work done. We took him out for a spin. I felt very wobbly at first as the longer frame takes some getting used to and I haven’t ridden him for 10 months now. But after about 15 minutes or so I felt reasonably confident again.

Aberdeen isn’t anywhere near as good for cycling as York but York was quite special in this regard. Aberdeen also has some hills and Busby doesn’t do hills. But maybe once I’ve built up the strength in my legs again I’ll be able to tackle some of the smaller ones.

  1. Well, that’s great news, though I think it should have turned into an epic bike ride from York to Aberdeen….. Guess you’ll have to ride it from Aberdeen to York instead!

      1. It is a Dutch bakfiets – the best bikes in the world – and I’ve heard how popular they are in Holland. One day I’ll have to go and see for myself.

    1. I wish you could have come up with Busby! It would have been great to see you and to hear about the adventurous ride. I’m not sure that I’m up for cycling all the way to York but we could come down on the train and bring it with us 🙂

  2. Yay for Busby 🙂 I remember when you had to say goodbye to him not thinking that you would be returning in 10 months to the UK! Life is full of surprises isn’t it 😉
