WordCamp Auckland 2014

I’m giving a talk at Auckland WordCamp later this month. Matt Mullenweg volunteered me for this when he was in Auckland recently. We were talking with the Auckland WordPress group and they expressed interest in having someone talk to them about Jetpack. So Matt said I would do it. To which I replied, “Yes, of course. I’d be very happy to do that”, or words to this effect. Then I got home later that night and said “Crap, crap, crap”. Matt Mullenweg is not someone you say no to.

But now that I’ve had a chance to think about it and do some planning, I’m really looking forward to it. I’m not giving a Jetpack talk either, which is a bit of a relief. Instead I’m first up for the day with the introduction, a bit about Automattic and my role with the company, and what’s coming up in WordPress 4.0.

If any of my Auckland readers are interested in coming along, then it’s on Saturday 26th July, at AUT in Auckland’s CBD. Tickets are $25 and available here.

      1. I’m sorry to hear that. I didn’t know. I thought you might have been recovering from your injuries. I’m glad to hear you’re almost back to normal. You should give it another go if it’s something you really want.

  1. I’d die if I had to give a presentation. But having seen the little intro video you posted about yourself when you started working at Automattic, I’m sure you are a natural.

What an honour to be asked!! Well done, you!
