We were all very excited to see a fox in our backyard today. We sometimes see foxes in the neighbourhood but this is the first time we’ve seen one in our yard. He was eating the peanuts from a bird feeder that had fallen to the ground. At first I thought it was a dog as I could only see some brown legs behind a brown bench.

But it was pretty clear this was no dog. He’s very welcome in our backyard any. time.

I share your excitement Rachel. We have had foxes in the garden for two years now and they have raised a total of 6 youngsters who are very tame in their earlier stages.
It’s wonderful to have wildlife in the garden isn’t it. We have so many birds I’m having to top up the feeder every second day. They go through it all so quickly. I’m still waiting to see a hedgehog. How exciting it must have been to have a family of foxes!
What a delight!
