King Street Design Competition

We announced the winners of the King Street Design Competition today. It took a bit longer than expected because we extended the competition by one week and then the judging took just over two weeks. However the whole thing was a great success. I’m so impressed with all the designs we received and it was very close between the top two. They are truly fantastic. The kids designs brought tears to my eyes. Thanks to the Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative for donating the vouchers for the winners. The next step is to present them all to the Aberdeen City Council.

I posted about it on the Aberdeen Cycle Forum blog today if you’d like to see the winning designs – https://aberdeencycleforum.org.uk/king-street-cycleway-designs/

What a fabulous entry the winner is, I was to busy to submit anything, but there was no way I could have matched it. Well done them all.

Hope presenting to the Council goes well, what a fantastic thing to organise.
