Me after eating chocolate cake:
Share your own photo from the past to the comments. It doesn’t have to be a baby photo. It just has to be before today.
Update I posted some instructions on how to upload images to the comment box on WordPress.com
Or you can post the image to your own blog and then create a pingback to mine. Then it will appear as a comment on this post.
Were you trying to eat the chocolate cake, or was the chocolate cake trying to eat you?
Where’s your pic?
Well, this is embarrassing…. How do you upload a photo to a Comment text box?
That’s a good question. I should have explained in my post. It’s not so easy but you have a couple of options. You can upload it to your media library and then copy and paste the img url into the comment box on a line by itself.
The other option is to post it as a new post on your own site and link to this which will create a pingback as a comment.
I posted some better instructions – https://rachel.blog/2018/05/17/how-to-add-images-to-the-comment-box-on-wordpress-com/ π
Throwback to my first GM and our epic Sparta Wapuu tatts:
Let’s see if that works. xD
Apparently HTML doesn’t work. Hmm. #til
It should work if you paste the URL for the image on a line by itself. It doesn’t need any HTML.
Would love to see your GM pic π
Taken by younger daughter in 2002 during Move-In Day at her university. I think I look far too thin and my haircut is dreadful, but I was 16 years younger. That’s something!
Thatβs a lovely photo. You look happy and your dog looks identical to a dog I once had called Freud. What breed is yours?
That’s Josie! He was a Pomerpoo, part Pomeranian and part miniature poodle. The woman who sold him to us said he was “a monster” compared to his littermates. He died just three years after that picture was taken. Had I known then, I would have babied him a lot more. He was my favorite dog, never got over losing him.
Freud was a mini poodle and silver just like that. I still miss him. https://rachel.blog/2013/07/17/freud-1999-2013/
What a cute dog! I’m a sucker for poodles and poodle mixes. I sometimes think about getting another pup, but I’m not in a good place to raise a dog right now. I do aspire to be a little old lady walking her little old dog someday. π
I’ve just edited your comment because the image wasn’t embedded as it should be. I was on my phone last night and it was too difficult to do then. You nearly got it right though. You linked to the page the image was on rather than the image itself. The image link needs to end in .jpg or .png or something like that. What I did was I visited your link and then right-clicked on the image and chose _Copy image address_ from the drop-down menu. Then I pasted it in here. Now you can see the image in your comment.
I’ll remember that next time, thank you. I keep forgetting small details like that, which I hope isn’t a sign of early onset dementia!
I usually don’t share my photos online. But I am in this pic:
That’s a nice photo of you. I said this earlier, but I will repeat: Elizabeth is your look alike. π
That is such a great pic, Chait. I recognise a few faces there too! Looks like a really great meetup.
That was WC Auckland 2017.
Nice! Will there be one this year?
No WC Auckland this year mostly, but WC Wellington coming up soon on 23β24 June 2018. Our meet up is from Jun 26th. So my Auckland based team member and I could attend.
On the topic of WCs, your advice at WC Auckland 2014 is life-changing π
What advice was that? To apply to Automattic? You should have applied sooner! You’re a terrific HE.
Yeah, you suggested to apply right away and I acted on your advice.
Thank you for your advice, encouragement and nice words!
You look satisfied and very bright π
I think it was a very yummy cake π
