    1. Probably a good idea not to post a picture πŸ™‚ Hope your ankle heals quickly.

We had a terrific Christmas, thank you. It was a very relaxing, lazy day at home yesterday following by a filling and spirited dinner with friends.

  1. I’m very impressed by your war wounds. Fortunately, I have no bruises or wounds that could compete with yours. Keep up the good work! πŸ™‚ Glad you had a lovely Christmas day.

  2. and to add insult to injury it’s been so icy the last two days you could have just gone outside and slipped over for nowt and not had to wear some sweaty old hired ice skates to do it as well. Hope it mends soon.

    1. It has been very icy. I’ve just come back from a short bike ride and there was quite a bit of ice on the ground. I was curious to see how the bike might handle it and it was fine. In terms of stability on ice, I’m thinking two wheels good, two feet bad?

      1. reminds me of the Tommy Cooper joke – ”so I told the doctor ‘doctor, it hurts when I do that’ {raises arm in air} – the doctor said ‘well, don’t do that then” – the original is funnier than when I do it
