My war wound

I have an impressive bruise on my knee from falling over while skating last weekend. It started as a swollen lump. Now it’s an ugly purple mess but it’s healing nicely.

I managed to twist my ankle going for a short run yesterday, but I’m not planning on posting a picture :-). Hope you and the family had a good Christmas.

Probably a good idea not to post a picture πŸ™‚ Hope your ankle heals quickly.

We had a terrific Christmas, thank you. It was a very relaxing, lazy day at home yesterday following by a filling and spirited dinner with friends.

Tol would love to see an ankle picture. Could clear the gender issue.

Everyone in the war zone get well soon.

That’s what I was thinking, Victor. It’s amazing how much information one can glean from an ankle photo.

Ahh, but maybe I have androgynous ankles πŸ™‚

I know and thus wrote “could” not “would”. Have been trained to formulate carefully.

I’m very impressed by your war wounds. Fortunately, I have no bruises or wounds that could compete with yours. Keep up the good work! πŸ™‚ Glad you had a lovely Christmas day.

Thanks. I think I’d rather avoid more wounds next time we go skating though. I still can’t kneel down on that knee.

and to add insult to injury it’s been so icy the last two days you could have just gone outside and slipped over for nowt and not had to wear some sweaty old hired ice skates to do it as well. Hope it mends soon.

It has been very icy. I’ve just come back from a short bike ride and there was quite a bit of ice on the ground. I was curious to see how the bike might handle it and it was fine. In terms of stability on ice, I’m thinking two wheels good, two feet bad?

Ouch, right on a bony part too. What a bruise. Hope it’s not been too painful over Christmas.

It doesn’t hurt at all unless I apply pressure to it.

reminds me of the Tommy Cooper joke – ”so I told the doctor ‘doctor, it hurts when I do that’ {raises arm in air} – the doctor said ‘well, don’t do that then” – the original is funnier than when I do it

Yes, well that’s very sound advice and probably I should follow it πŸ™‚

Thanks. That was unintentional although I’m not really sure where to stick this one. Maybe miscellaneous is the spot for it.
