Speech therapy and some videos

Daniel was finally assessed by a speech therapist yesterday morning and he qualifies for Government support which is great. Starting next term, he’ll have weekly sessions with her and she’s confident we should see some improvement in his speech.

We have all come down with the dreaded lergy here which is very bad timing because we’re heading away for a short holiday tomorrow. I’ll keep the destination a secret but promise to take lots of photos for my blog, provided we’re well enough to make the journey.

Elizabeth loves to sing and recently I videoed her singing along to her favourite program, Zip And Mac. I posted the video on YouTube – Elizabeth Singing. She doesn’t quite know all the words.

Recently my aunt told me how my Grandfather used to record himself reading stories to her and her siblings when they were young. I went one step further and recorded a short video of myself reading a story to Elizabeth. It works really well and she can watch it over and over. I just have to add to the playlist until we have a small library. I’ve also posted it to YouTube – reading of Sophie Bakes A Cake.

I don't have an iphone or anything equivalent. Am lusting after one though. Maybe in my next life.
