Our two little Aussies

My life has suddenly become so easy now that Daniel is at school. He was a challenging kid. He’s matured and become easier with time but Elizabeth is so easy compared with how Daniel used to be. This is what life is like for parents of “normal” kids and it’s great. I’m loving it.

Daniel loves his teacher at school. She’s an Aussie chick like his mother so she really can’t go wrong. Today he told her she had a pretty dress on.

Freud has a new lease on life now that Zeki is gone. He’s like one of those battered wives who blossom after their wife-bashing husbands pass away. Zeki was quite an aggressive dog and did funnel much of his angst onto Freud. I’m pleased Freud gets to enjoy his twilight years in peace.

Pee-Nang arrives tomorrow for a 10-day stay. We are all very excited about her visit.

The best news of the week is that Daniel and Elizabeth are now officially Aussie citizens. It was not an easy task because my own birth was also overseas. But we did it and Ben and I are now the proud parents of two Australian citizens with a colourful convict ancestry. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
