Crocs

Ben is home again and my sister arrived with her family today so I’m feeling very happy about the world. What a difference it makes having some family around to talk to. The kids were both so thrilled to have Ben back. Daniel said some sweet things on his return. He was asking Ben why he had to go to Germany and whether he was getting old and would he get a replacement Daddy when he dies? Then he said to Ben, “Why are you getting old before I’m grown up?  I need you.”

Today I took the children to Butterfly Creek, which is a fun place out at the airport. I went before my sister’s flight arrived to break up the trip and it worked really well. They have a butterfly house, crocodiles, farm animals, alligators, train and a playground.

The croc is a fellow Queenslander

What a lovely thing for Daniel to say to Ben. You guys seem to be so sweet to your kids. Love, B

Can't wait to see you next week. I need people, especially family. Have you thought about things you'd like to see/do?

I've sent you an email. Butterfly Creek looks fun. I love nursing rabbits. No, seriously, I'll be guided by you guys. You seem to like the same things I do — natural beauty, animals and kid-friendly activities. I also like to look at shops but not for hours on end. About to start packing as heading for Sydney tomorrow. Love, B
