Santa

Daniel has been asking to see Santa for a wee while now and so today I took them both to see the only Santa in the southern hemisphere who is not sweating like a pig: Snowplanet Santa. He made his entrance from the top of the slopes:

That’s Santa: red suit, white beard, centre-field

Daniel could barely contain his excitement and at this point started shouting out “hello, Santa”.

This was one of the few smiling photos of Elizabeth because her hands got cold and she spent most of the time grizzling about that (she does have gloves but refused to put them on)

Daniel told Santa: “Mummy knitted me a stocking and our chim-iny is too small”. I didn’t knit him a stocking, I crocheted one:

I wonder whether this is the last year I’ll get to enjoy the magic of a small boy who believes in Santa? He starts school next year and I imagine his school mates will spoil the fun pretty quickly.

you might be surprised – there are always a fair number who maintain the myth through until 8 or even 10. Cool stocking.

Daniel looks in 7th heaven with Santa. Beautiful photos. The Christmas stocking is lovely. I'm really impressed that you can make something like this. Love, B

The stocking was very easy and was a great way to get rid of all the left over balls of yarn I've accumulated. I'm making one for Elizabeth now.
