I’m still breastfeeding Elizabeth but would like to wean her in the not-too-distant future. She’ll be two on New Year’s Eve and two is a good age to stop. The World Health Organisation recommends breastfeeding until two or beyond and the first two years of their lives is the most dangerous in terms of childhood illnesses. It will be a battle weaning her though as she’s very attached to her milk.
A couple of weeks ago we were at Bunnings. Ben was watching the children in the playground while I was off shopping. At one point, Elizabeth sat in the lap of a random mother who was also watching children in the playground, stuck her hand down her shirt and said “other side”.
