The Whangaparaoa Narrow Gauge Railway

Today we took the kids to the Whangaparaoa narrow gauge railway which was created by train enthusiast Ted Pointon. What initially began as a hobby has become a lovely park with a cool miniature train ride, animals, playgrounds and forest walks. It’s a fabulous find for us as it’s only 20 minutes north of our home and a bargain at just $7 per person.

Elizabeth spent much of the time chasing chickens and saying “chi’en” in her best Cockney accent

She sticks both food and fingers in their mouths
