Picnic at Cornwall Park

We had a marvellous picnic at Cornwall Park today. Cornwall Park is 172 hectares of park, landscaped gardens and farmland in central Auckland built around the volcanic cone of One Tree Hill. It is a beautiful mix of magnificent old trees, sheep grazing on green pasture, sweeping views of city and harbour and meandering pathways.

I knew the All Blacks had won the rugby last night when my attempt to go to sleep was thwarted by the raucous, celebratory sounds of rugby fans in the local neighbourhood. Fortunately the noise died down fairly quickly.

Does Elizabeth eat sheep poo? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm sure she would if we gave her the chance.

Brilliant photos especially the one of hat with human. Cornwall Park looks like Auckland's answer to Central Park. Lovely place! B
