Recently I’ve noticed that the photos I’ve been taking with my camera have been cloudy. Today we went to Takapuna and I really wanted to get some good shots of Rangitoto. Feeling disappointed with the first few photos, I inspected the camera closely and discovered grubby fingerprints all over the lens! So with a clean lens, here is Takapuna beach and Rangitoto:

Takapuna is a suburb on the North Shore not all that far from the house we’ve just bought. It’s full of shops, cafés, restaurants and even office space and of course, beach. No matter where you are in Auckland, you are never far from a beach.
Afterwards we drove down to Devonport, a very cute little village just south of Takapuna.
