A second visit to the tall ships

We went back to the tall ships yesterday to have another look as Daniel missed it on Saturday due to a driving lesson. This time we boarded a ship to have a closer look. The queues were all too long on Saturday but on Sunday we found a lovely old Norwegian ship with hardly any queue at all so we leapt at the opportunity.

There was also an RNLI boat in the harbour.

The orange RNLI boat.

We can’t see anything related to the RNLI without having a little chuckle about Joe Wilkinson’s joker from Last One Laughing. Last One Laughing is a reality TV show where they put a bunch of comedians into one room and they’re not allowed to laugh. The first one to laugh is eliminated. Joe Wilkinson chose to talk about the RNLI at one point and you can see them all desperately trying to keep a straight face. What’s especially good about it is he doesn’t really say anything funny. He just talks about the RNLI and what they do – somehow this has everyone in stitches.

The tall ships leave tomorrow. It was fun to have them here and admire them. I especially like the really old ones – such wonderful craftsmanship!
