Merry Christmas everyone!
I am feeling much better today and it has been a wonderfully relaxing day at home. We all slept in, opened presents, then went for a walk down the river with some friends. It’s been an exceptionally mild day today of about 12C.

Then we had a late lunch of roasted vegetables, tofu and salmon. Normally I’d make vegetarian haggis but I decided we’d have way too much food for just the four of us and we got salmon as a special Christmas treat for the kids. The roast vegetables are always the star of Christmas lunch in my view anyway.

My roast potatoes turned out beautifully this year.

The kids decorated the gingerbread house but it didn’t go quite as planned. I think the end result looked better in their heads. At least the roof didn’t fall off which is what usually happens.

Elizabeth made her declicious yule log again for dessert.

And we set the Christmas pudding on fire with whisky as we do every year.

I filmed this video of it but forgot to tell Daniel to be quiet so he’s talking in the background.
I’m wearing a Roland Mouret top I got on Vinted along with a hand-made crepe maxi skirt.

Elizabeth got a karaoke machine for Christmas. I’m taking it all a bit too seriously I think.

Time for some Christmas movies now. I wish you all a peaceful and relaxing day.
