Elizabeth at Newburgh Beach

Newburgh seals

Daniel has been doing a terrific job of entertaining Etienne during the week while Ben and I are working. Today I took an extended lunch break and drove them to the seals at Newburgh. It has been several years since we were last here and I forgot out pretty it is.

It’s about 20 minutes north of Aberdeen by car.

Newburgh Seals Beach is one our favourite North-East beaches. We try to visit at least once each time we are back in Aberdeen.

It was so blue and sunny earlier in the year! It’s raining today, but I don’t mind. I tried to take a picture of the blue sea in Sussex to show my old homestay students that we do get blue seas sometimes, but it was just a blue strip in the distance, on top of grey. It was also very busy near our beach, it looks so peaceful where you are.

We get a lot of sunny days here. I think it’s one of the sunniest places in Britain.
