We took the kids for a walk at Crathes Castle today. I always enjoy coming here as there are so many walks you can do to suit whether you want something short or long. It’s also more pleasant on a hot day to walk in the forest.
And of course it’s a bonus to have the castle backdrop for photos.

We’ve had below average rainfall and the castle loch was nearly empty. In the whole time we’ve lived here I’ve never seen the loch like this. It is always full of water.
There’s much-needed rain coming tonight.
We like visiting the castle highland cows who were very friendly today. We’re pretty sure the one lying down in this next photo is about to give birth.
