Christmas in the Cairngorms

Christmas Day in the Scottish Cairngorms looks like this:

Lots of people said to me before we moved here that we’d be shocked by the number of people and the amount of traffic. Maybe this is true for the rest of the UK but not here in the north-east corner where the roads are extraordinarily quiet. All I can say is, what a wonderful place to spend Christmas.

    1. No, we stopped in Braemar and walked up to the duck pond and watched the ducks skate across the ice. We might go back to the LInn of Dee before we leave as we’re here all weekend. Is it a long walk? We’re restricted by the smallest legs in our party which are attached to a 4-year-old.
