There’s a new climate movie out called 2 Degrees which follows the failure of the UN climate negotiations while finding hope in the communities at the bottom (h/t HotTopic). You can watch the film online. Here’s an excerpt from their About page:
The war on climate change has two major fronts: the fight against global deforestation and the battle to stop the burning of fossil fuels. Lose either of these battles and we lose the war. 2 Degrees weaves together stories of a top-down and bottom-up approach to climate change and the charismatic people driving them forward.

I very much like this pro-active content. If the inherent lethargy of the decision makers is to be overcome, it will be because the larger poplualtion show their will. Further, it encourages others to do likewise with the prospect that the approach will become viral. Yay.
