The Polkadots

Elizabeth doesn’t like saying “sorry”. When she does something that warrants an apology, I ask her in the nicest tone possible, “say sorry”. Her reply is always, “I’m too busy”.

Yesterday I took the kids to see The Polkadots – a New Zealand children’s band – in concert. Elizabeth just loves them and always sings their songs at home or in the car. When we first arrived, we somehow ended up crammed into the lobby area which really freaked Daniel out and he started crying. So we found a seat on one of the balconies away from the crowds which made him happier. But then Elizabeth got upset because she wanted to get up close to The Polkadots. You can’t please all of the children all of the time.

I’ve posted a video of Elizabeth singing to YouTube. She took it all very seriously. The crazy kid you can hear singing in the background is Daniel.

Afterwards we went to Burger King with some friends as a special treat.

Alice off to the Polkadots in Christchurch in the next week or so. If she helps for 4 hours she gets a free pass to a concert being held here. http://www.theconcert.co.nz/. Brilliant idea. For up to 10,000 students who give time.

Well she did love The Wiggles when younger so I am sure she will have fun dancing and that!
