Toy store fun

We took the kids to the opening of a toy store today. The advertisement for the event promised bouncing castles, balloons, face painting, performers and a sausage sizzle. Sounds like a great outing for preschoolers and it was.

There was also a competition for the best dressed with three prizes awarded and Elizabeth won one! Not bad for the frilly skirt borrowed from a friend and the wings I got for 20c at the local Point Chevalier charity shop. The prize was a $100 gift voucher for the Wooden Toy Store.

What did she get with her voucher? Just what every almost two-year-old needs of course: a microwave.

And she let Daniel buy something as well. He got a doctor’s kit which he’s presently using to treat all his very sick toys.
