People have different earthquake-coping strategies. I like a glass of wine at dinner time. The difficulty is getting the right balance between being relaxed enough to not freak out for smallish aftershocks whilst maintaining enough coordination to cope with big ones. There was just a small Mag. 4.2 as I was cooking dinner tonight. This is the sort of thing a glass of wine is good for.
We are planning to attempt to sell our house in the next month or so. I was thinking today about features we could put in the real estate listing:
* Portaloo just across the road
* Private water supply in the form of a backyard spring (handy for when the water supply is compromised as has happened three times already)
* Silt – great for children’s sandpits
What else?
